The Global Galvanizing Awards recognise the innovative use of galvanized steel and its contribution to the circular economy by architects, engineers, constructors and artists.
For these 2024 Global Galvanizing Awards, prizes were presented for the most effective and innovative use of galvanizing in both architecture and civil engineering (both awards judged by the judging panel). An ‘Industry Award for Circular Thinking’ (voted by the global galvanizing industry, through the participating national associations) was awarded to the project that exploited either reuse of old components; design for future reuse or the re-galvanizing of steel components. The judges also identified seven ‘Highly Commended’ projects.
The 2024 Global Galvanizing Awards Judging Panel was:
36 projects from 15 countries were entered through the national and regional galvanizers associations across the world. The Awards were presented at an evening ceremony held at ‘Lauretum’ on the outskirts of Bruges during Intergalva 2024, with each winner receiving a unique and specially-commissioned galvanized steel sculpture by renowned Belgian artist, Luc De Prest.
