Conference presentations focused on the decarbonisation challenge and opportunities to improve efficiency and safety in galvanizing operations. Technical advances in applications for galvanized steel were reported by several authors, including a special session on the improvement in fire resistance of steel structures associated with galvanizing.
A keynote session on energy and decarbonisation included a captivating insight into the political dimension from Reinhard Bütikofer - a Member of the European Parliament (Group of the Greens / European Free Alliance).
